Festival History
The Prince George & District Music Festival was founded in 1951 to provide a vehicle for fostering musical excellence in Northern BC. The past 50+ years have seen the Festival grow in size and scope to include a total of over 1200 participants annually in five disciplines.
We will make every effort to update this site regularly during the course of the festival. Details for the 2007 festival will be posted to this site as they are confirmed. Competition results will also be posted to the site, as will Honours Performance participants, awards, and recommendations to the Provincial festival.
